The best part of the program at OSU:

The best part of the MA Speech-Language Pathology program at The Ohio State University is the diversity of clinical experiences and opportunities that are offered. I also can't say enough about the helping hands of supervisors JoAnn Donohue, Ellen Bonk, Nadine Ocock, Gail Whitelaw, and Christy Goodman as they are truly clinical exemplars in the field of Speech & Hearing Science.

The most challenging part of the program at OSU:

The biggest challenge initially is understanding the balance of academics, clinical requirements, and personal life. The graduate program at OSU prepares you for the "real world," and if it weren't challenging it wouldn't be rewarding.

My career goal:

My initial career goal is to obtain a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) position in a comprehensive pediatric environment to continue to hone my clinical skills. Within five years I see myself opening a private practice serving children with a variety of needs in the Central Ohio area. My specific interests are craniofacial anomalies, pediatric dysphagia, aural habilitation, and early intervention.

How OSU has prepared me to do something great:

I feel OSU has set the bar for success. I will leave this program feeling a sense of pride and accomplishment, and it is now my role to give back to the community. I feel empowered to help children reach their potential as the role models in my life have helped me reach mine.
