Primary Progressive Apraxia of Speech (PPAOS)
This course will introduce a relatively new motor speech disorder-- Primary Progressive Apraxia of Speech (PPAOS). Attendees may be familiar with Primary Progressive Aphasia, but are less likely to have gained basic information about PPAOS, which has been found to be the first and sometimes only sign of progressive degenerative neurologic disease. In this presentation, participants will learn about the nature of PPAOS, how it is being identified, described, and studied. They will also learn how to present the implication of this disorder to professional and lay audiences.See link below for more details: PPAOS Flier for 5 14 16.pdf
