Victoria Diedrichs, MA, CCC-SLP, CBIS is a research assistant in the Aphasia Lab who is pursuing her Ph.D. in Speech and Hearing Science. In 2011 Victoria graduated from Grinnell College with a B.A. in Spanish and a concentration in Neuroscience, while in 2015 she graduated from Temple University with her M.A. in Speech, Language, and Hearing Science. Her MA thesis investigated the use of mental imagery to elicit measurable changes in pupil diameter, which were leveraged as a binary form of communication when answering yes/no questions. Since graduating from Temple, Victoria has been working as a speech-language pathologist in skilled-nursing and inpatient rehab. Victoria’s research interests include cognitive-linguistic changes following acquired brain injury and use of neuroimaging in diagnosis and measurement of treatment efficacy. In her free time, she enjoys running, baking, and watching TV.
