Morgan Oates is pursuing a PhD in Speech and Hearing Science. A two-time OSU alum, Morgan received her MA in Speech-Language Pathology in 2019, and her BA in Linguistics and Speech and Hearing Science with a minor in Spanish in 2017. During her clinical fellowship year, she worked as a speech-language pathologist in the school setting, with a caseload largely made up of autistic students and AAC users. Morgan’s research interests include language development in autism, the intersections of gender and autism, AAC, and services for adolescent and adult autistic individuals.
