The Flaum Center for Stuttering directed by Clinical Assistant Professor, Bridget Chapman, hosted group therapy sessions this summer focusing on Avoidance Reduction Therapy for Stuttering (ARTS). We welcomed Shiloh and his handler Mary, from Buckeye Paws, the OSU Medical Center’s therapy dog unit, to our preschool group. The children taught Shiloh facts about stuttering and shared their favorite show and tell toys. Shiloh provided the children with unconditional listening, no interruptions, and got to enjoy some pets and snuggles!
