The first is a tenure-track position with expertise in AI applications for speech, language, and hearing. We are searching broadly for individuals who do empirical research on the development or application of AI tools and techniques that have relevance for speech, language, or hearing sciences and disorders, and whose research program focuses on future developments, best practices and applications of AI within our disciplines. The ideal candidate will work with the department to create a vision for the future of AI in our field, and describe a pathway leading toward this future. The ideal candidate will also help to prepare future generations of researchers and clinicians for careers in which AI will be heavily featured, expanding the expertise and scope of our fields. The second position is an assistant clinical professor in audiology. This position includes providing high-quality, evidence-based audiologic care within The Ohio State University Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic; precepting and mentoring Doctor of Audiology (AuD) students in clinical practice; teaching within the AuD curriculum; and contributing to the service and scholarly missions of the department.
