Amy Miller Sonntag, SLPD, CCC-SLP, is a licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologist. She joined the OSU Department of Speech and Hearing Science in 2015 and is also a faculty member in the OSU Assistive and Rehabilitative Technology Certificate Program. She teaches coursework in AAC for undergraduate and graduate students who are students in a variety of rehabilitation fields including SLP, occupational and physical therapy, rehabilitation engineering, and special education. In her clinical work she provides clinical education and mentorship to graduate SLP clinicians while serving a diverse population of clients ages 18 months to adult with a variety of medical diagnoses who need augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) to meet their communication goals. Sonntag also participates in AAC research. She is currently on the Executive Board of USSAAC (United States Society for Augmentative and Alternative Communication), the USSAAC Disaster Relief Committee and has presented at numerous local, state, and national conference on topics related to AAC.
