Congratulations to Rachel Kickbusch and Quinn Baumgartner for winning the Steve's Way Scholarship. This scholarship is awarded to two 2nd Year MA SLP students who have an interest in assistive technology and augmentative and alternative communication (AAC).
During their 2nd year Rachel and Quinn will gain invaluable advanced clinical experience to hone their AAC evaluation skills. They will also take a leading role in a special initiative this fall, developing resources to teach people how to utilize the enhanced AAC features coming with the release of iOS 26. Their work will build on existing iOS technology to make these powerful communication tools more accessible and easier to set up than ever.
