The Department of Speech and Hearing Science, in collaboration with the Brain Injury Association of Ohio, hosted NeuroSparks Kids in July. Eight youth with brain injury found new ways to communicate, socialize, move, play, & think. Families found resources & connected. Undergraduate and graduate students learned about the challenges families face - but also the limitless potential of rehabilitation AND how their work can SPARK change even years after injury. After 3 days of camp, everyone left exhausted but refreshed. Thankful for SLP, Audiology, OT, PT, Neuropsychology, School Psychology, Vision Therapy professionals and students who volunteered their time and passion.
