Ewa Jacewicz and Robert A. Fox are authors of an entry on “American English Dialects” in the Wiley-Blackwell Encyclopedia of World Englishes (to be released in 2024), the most impressive encyclopedia project to date from Wiley-Blackwell, one of the world’s largest publishers and a global leader in research and education. The encyclopedia, intended to be an authoritative reference work for students and researchers from interdisciplinary backgrounds, comprises 6 volumes with over 400 entries (3120 pages) written by invited experts in the field. It covers all known varieties of English spoken on all continents.
