Nathan Grine serves as a Director of Development for the College of Arts and Sciences, where he partners with alumni, friends, and donors to advance the mission and long term success of the college. Working closely with faculty and academic leaders in the Department of Speech and Hearing Science, Nathan helps individuals identify meaningful opportunities to support students, research, and clinical and academic initiatives that advance teaching, discovery, and service in speech, language, and hearing sciences at Ohio State. Nathan especially enjoys seeing the transformational impact private support has on educational experiences and breakthrough work on campus, and there is nothing quite as special to him as forming meaningful connections that help propel speech and hearing science forward. He values building long term relationships and welcomes conversations with anyone interested in making a lasting impact on the department through their philanthropy.
Nathan brings both professional and personal perspective to his work with the Department of Speech and Hearing Science. Having grown up navigating hearing related obstacles, he has a strong personal connection to the department’s mission and an appreciation for the impact of its teaching, research, and clinical work. Nathan earned his bachelor’s degree in strategic communications from The Ohio State University, where he also benefited from the generosity of donor scholarship support, an experience that sparked his interest in advancement and philanthropy. He later earned a Master of Education from the University of Maryland, College Park, with a focus on higher education, student affairs, and international education policy
