Application and Registration Process
Summer Prerequisite Bridge Program courses differ from regular OSU courses. Main differences include:
- Students (including current OSU Speech and Hearing Science majors) are not able to self-enroll in courses. The Department of Speech and Hearing Science will coordinate the process for getting you enrolled in the course(s).
- Students (including current OSU Speech and Hearing Science majors) must complete the Summer Prerequisite Bridge Program Enrollment Form by April 17, 2026, for Summer 2026 courses.
- Out of state students are not charged the non-Ohio resident surcharge for these courses.
- Courses are not eligible for OSU faculty and staff or dependent tuition assistance.
- Financial Aid eligibility may vary depending on your situation.
- These courses are not administered through the Bursar. Therefore, they will not be reflected on an OSU Statement of Account. Invoices may be requested.
- Course costs are structured differently than regular OSU courses. Refer to the Cost and Payment page.
- Payment is collected by a third-party vendor; payment must be submitted by check or money order. Credit card payments are not an option for these courses.
Refunds for dropped courses work differently. Refer to the Cost and Payment page.

Formerly enrolled transient visitor students (who previously paid an application fee) may reapply with no additional application fee. Email extendeded@osu.edu to verify if you are eligible to apply without paying another application fee.
At this point, be prepared to allow an additional 3 weeks for OSU Extended Education to process your university application.
