Julie received her B.A., M.A. and Ph.D. in Speech and Hearing Science from The Ohio State University.  She worked as a clinical audiologist for seven years and served as an adjunct lecturer before officially joining Ohio State as Program Coordinator for the Audiology program in 2005.  Julie teaches courses on professional development, hearing aids, anatomy and physiology and audiologic assessment.
