Christopher graduated from North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in May 2020 with a B.A. in Speech: Concentration - Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology. He is a dual degree student, pursuing the M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology and the Ph.D. in Speech and Hearing Sciences. Christopher's research involves understanding how language variation may impact the perception of successful social interactions with others and academic achievement in speakers of African American language. He is also interested in how the presence of language variation may complicate clinical decision making, including aspects of evaluation and treatment planning. Outside of the research, he enjoys mentoring, traveling, bodybuilding, reading, singing, and making new friends.
