PhD/AuD student, Devan Lander, is a recipient of the ASH Foundation New Century Scholars Doctoral Scholarship, a $10,000 scholarship designed to support strong doctoral candidates who will pursue a teacher-investigator career in an academic environment at the university/college level in the United States.
Devan also recently received the Herbert J. Oyer Student Research Award from the Academy of Rehabilitative Audiology. The student award was named in honor of Herbert J. Oyer, Ph.D., a charter member of ARA and leader in the field of audiologic rehabilitation. (Oyer was also chair of our department from 1984-1986.) The award was designed to recognize students completing exemplary research and to advance the area of audiologic rehabilitation.
Devan will present her research at the ARA Institute and her project will be published. She will also receive complimentary registration to the 2023 ARA Institute in Boston MA, a 1-year free membership in ARA, and a financial award of $1,000 (to defray the cost of travel to the Institute).
