The OSU Speech-Language-Hearing Clinic provides evaluation and therapy services to people who need augmentative and alternative communication (AAC) through AAC Connections. Along with providing educational experiences for students and evaluation and therapy services in the clinic, AAC Connections has a goal to provide authentic communication experiences in the community.
In July, Brady and Johnny, who are involved with AAC Connections, organized a coffee chat at Sorso Coffee in Pickerington. The owner, Robin, welcomed people who use AAC, their caregivers, and our students with open arms! MA SLP students facilitated communication with conversations about the drinks and treats, music, and much discussion occurred regarding the temporary tattoo choices.
