Courtney Jewell, PhD candidate advised by Dr. Stacy Harnish, was awarded the Ruth L. Kirchstein Predoctoral Individual National Research Service Award (F31). The Kirchstein-NRSA program has the sole purpose of enabling promising predoctoral students with potential to develop into a productive, independent research scientist. With thanks for the F31 mechanism, Courtney plans to utilize a mixed methods research paradigm to triangulate data from qualitative interviews, patient-reported outcome measures, and ecological momentary assessments (EMAs) to uncover the sources of acute and chronic stress in people living with aphasia. Her mentorship team includes the following:
- Dr. Stacy M. Harnish - Sponsor
- Dr. Jessica Krok-Schoen - Co-Sponsor
