Professor Bridget Chapman has been promoted to the rank of Clinical Associate Professor. Prof. Chapman joined the Department of Speech and Hearing Science in Autumn 2017 and focuses on teaching, service and scholarship connected to stuttering, clinical education, and school-based speech-language pathology.
Dr. Stacy Harnish has been promoted to the rank of Professor. Dr. Harnish studies treatment for language impairment after stroke and other acquired brain injuries. She directs the Aphasia Laboratory and works closely with the Aphasia Initiative. She advises students at all levels in conducting studies related to aphasia and language processing changes with age. Her work has been funded by multiple agencies including the National Institutes of Health, The Veterans Health Administration, and the American Speech-Language Hearing Association.
