Representatives from the Ohio Academy of Audiology and the Ohio Speech-Language and Hearing Governmental Affairs Coalition, including 2 OSU faculty members and 6 graduate students, met with Ohio Senators and Representatives during the last legislative session of 2023. The groups spent the day at the Statehouse advocating for Madeline's Law (House Bill 152), which requires private insurance companies to cover hearing aids for children in Ohio. The bill passed in the House with bipartisan support. A hearing in the Ohio Senate will (hopefully) happen soon!
