Jessi Middaugh elected as a Member at Large for National SAA

Jessi Middaugh

Jessi Middaugh is a 3rd year student in the doctor of audiology program pursuing her Au.D. at The Ohio State University.  She is the current treasurer of Ohio State’s chapter of the Student Academy of Audiology.  She is also currently a graduate senator at the university, and serves on the Committee on Student Affairs and Committee on Academic Misconduct.  In addition, she was previously the department delegate for the Council of Graduate Students (CGS) during the 2011-2012 academic year, where she also served as the CGS representative on the Sexual Violence Committee.

Jessi earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Hearing, Speech, and Language Sciences from Ohio University in 2010.  While pursuing her degree at Ohio State, Jessi has worked as a research associate for Larry Feth, Ph.D. in the Psychoacoustics Lab, and as a Leadership Education in Neurodevelopmental Disabilities (LEND) trainee through the Nisonger Center.  She was also the recipient of the Julie S. Kelly Memorial Scholarship from the Ohio Academy of Audiology in 2013.

Beginning in May 2013, Jessi will be completing an NIH T-35 research traineeship at the National Center for Rehabilitative Auditory Research at the Portland VA Medical Center.  Following the traineeship, she will be completing her fourth year externship as a LEND trainee at Oregon Health and Science University in Portland, Oregon.
