Speech and Hearing Science Students Make Noise at the Denman!
The Department of Speech and Hearing Science (SHS) is pleased to recognize the 13 SHS students who presented their undergraduate research projects at the 20th annual Denman Undergraduate Research Forum. These students represent some of the best and brightest of our undergraduate majors and their commitment to their research projects is exciting to see. Three Speech and Hearing students received awards for their presentations:
Jordan Vasko took 1st place (pictured) with her project titled Parameter selection for segregating speech from background noise;
Emily Selio took 3rd place with her project titled Analyzing semantic-pragmatic processing of scalar implicatures in typically-developing children
Hannah Ortega took an Honorable Mention for her project titled Source versus spectral cues in the perception of indexical features of speech.
