Stephanie Davidson has been named interim chancellor of the Ohio Board of Regents while the administration of Gov. John Kasich continues to search for a successor to Jim Petro, who retired last week.

Davidson, a vice chancellor for academic affairs, has been with the Board of Regents since 2007. Before that, she was on the faculty at Ohio State University.

Davidson has an undergraduate degree from Michigan State University, along with a master's and a doctorate from the Department of Speech and Hearing Science at Ohio State.
