Dr. Christina Roup has been named Fellow of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA). Fellowship is one of the highest honors the professional organization can bestow. Those honored have made outstanding contributions to the discipline of communication sciences and disorders in three of the following areas:

Clinical service in the area of speech-language pathology or audiology

Clinical education and academic teaching in speech-language pathology, audiology, speech-language-hearing sciences, and related areas.

Research and publications contributing to the knowledge needed by the professions.

Administrative services in the area of speech-language pathology, audiology, or speech-language-hearing science.

Service to and leadership positions in state speech-language-hearing associations and/or other related local, regional, national, or international professional organizations
Dr. Roup was specifically recognized for her excellence in Teaching, Administrative Service, and Research and Publications. She received the award at the recent 2022 ASHA Convention Awards Ceremony in New Orleans on Nov. 18.
