Nicole Wiksten, MS, CCC-SLP, BCS-S is currently a Clinical Assistant Professor at The Ohio State University. She provides graduate clinical education and supervision in the area of adult medical Speech-Language Pathology as well as teaching the graduate swallowing curriculum. She has extensive clinical experience that includes primarily acute care, but also the long-term acute care, inpatient/outpatient rehabilitation and skilled nursing facility settings. She is certified to perform Fiberoptic Endoscopic Evaluation of Swallowing (FEES) and Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS). Her experience encompasses patient populations including stroke, TBI, tracheostomy, ventilator, geriatric, cancer, laryngectomy, medically complex and long-term acute care patients. She continues to provide clinical service in the acute care setting at The Ohio State University Wexner Medical Center.

As it is her main area of interest, Nicole is a board-certified specialist in swallowing and swallowing disorders. She has a passion for educating students, colleagues, patients and families in the area of Speech-Language Pathology, having given presentations at the local, state and national levels.
